Lottery Policy

ECA is strongly committed to providing an excellent education to a diverse group of students.  We want students who are interested in creating a new school culture that emphasizes excellence, diversity and respect.  The school does not discriminate on the basis of race, creed, color, ethnicity, national origin, or eligibility for services for exceptional children.  There are no admissions exams and ECA does not have any specific admission requirements.

If more students submit enrollment forms during the open or extended enrollment periods than there are available spaces for the following school year, all names of enrollees collected during the enrollment period in question shall be placed in a lottery and drawn at random to determine admission.  Once a name is selected in either the first admissions lottery or the second admissions lottery, the space is reserved for that individual.
