Advisory Program

ECHA maintains an integrated advisory program in which adults mentor students throughout the course of their academic career at the school. Advisory classes meet weekly for in-depth discussions and support, and daily for academic support ranging from tutoring to homework help.

Each academic teacher at ECA is required to serve as an advisor to 20-22 students. Advisees work with the same advisor all four years.

Ethical Values

The foundation of the ECA advisory program are the schoolwide Ethical values. On a montly basis, these values are discussed in advisory and students present an informative assembly. The Ethical Values guide our school in terms of overall school culture and building positive relationships among students and staff. The following Ethical Values are part of the 2008-09 school year advisory:

September 2008: Self Awareness February 2008: Spirit and Attitude
October 2008: Courage and Perseverance March 2008: Tolerance and Diversity
November 2008: Respect April 2008: Honesty and Integrity
December 2008: Responsibility May 2008: Appreciation and Gratitude
January 2008: Empathy and Compassion

Academic Support
